What a beautiful playground! We spent the Fourth of July weekend displaying my work in the East Hampton Art Fair. My previous knowledge of the Hamptons consisted of only what I saw on television and heard in the news. The true Hamptons did not disappoint. Several people commissioned portraits and the weekend was a huge success.
One of my goals was to find a real crab shack and everyone recommended Cherrystones Clam and Lobster Shack. Judging by the crowd, I knew the place couldn't be half bad-it was packed to the gills. We ate dinner at the bar so we could walk in and eat on the same day. The lobster was delicious and the whole meal was delightfully unfussy.
The photographs were from our first night on the beach. The show kept us too busy and too tired to see much more of it the rest of the week. We were able to photograph two of the commissioned portraits on that same beach before we left andI know they are going to be my new favorites.
